Dawson is very timid and growls when he first meets people, but once you gain his trust he is sweeter than sweet. He has never once offered to bite, he is just afraid. We do not recommend him for first time owners & there should be another socialized dog in the house. Once he has bonded with you, he is very affectionate and loving. No small children, though.
